Hy KellerIt is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our husband, father, and grandfather.

After a lengthy struggle with heart disease, Hy passed away on January 12, 2018.  He had just celebrated his 86th birthday and his 60th anniversary with his wife Edna.
Hy was predeceased by his parents, brother and all his relatives in Poland due to the holocaust and later on by his in-laws.  Hy leaves to mourn his wife, Edna, children Debbie (Don), Gail (Paul), Howard (Brenda) as well as his grandchildren Alan (Stephanie), Adam, Brian and Liora.
Hy came as an orphan to Canada in 1948. He met his wife in Winnipeg and they were married in 1957. Hy worked for Princess Auto and Machinery and then the City Of Winnipeg. Hy enjoyed going to synagogue and was always interested in watching the news about Israel.  His greatest love was his family and would do anything for them.
Funeral services were held on January 15, 2018 at Congregation Etz Chayim, officiated by Cantor Tracy Kasner-Greaves. Pallbearers were grandsons, Alan and Brian Stern, nephew Lyle Grosney, and family friends Irv Simmonds, Lawrence Shiffman and Frank Shiffman. Honourary pallbearer was nephew Herb Grosney.
A special thank you to Cantor Tracy Kasner-Greaves for all her kindness and compassion as well as for the amazing eulogy she gave at the funeral.  Thank you as well to all of our family and friends for all their support during this difficult time.
