Lazer passed away after a brief illness, leaving a legacy of dedication to family, education and Jewish life. After marrying Leah Kolber of Israel, he taught in Medicine Hat, Portage la Prairie and Winnipeg in the 1960's. In the late 1960s, Lazer, Leah, Yaffa and Roneet settled in Israel where son Aviram was born.
Predeceased by his parents, Aaron & Sarah , brothers Meyer & Gershon, and his beloved Leah.
Lazer’s quick wit and sense of humor were in full evidence when he made a whirlwind visit to Winnipeg in 2017, reuniting with beloved family and old friends.
Lazer is survived by his children Yaffa (Moshe), Roneet (Yitzchak) and Aviram (Orit), a large and loving family of grandchildren and great-grandchildren in the UK and Israel, his sister Malka (Zvi) Deutsch (Toronto), his younger brother Eli Boroditsky (Winnipeg), and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
