Six teen girls from Winnipeg representing the Rady JCC participated in the JCC Maccabi Games held in Orange County, California from August 5-10

JCC Maccabi Games is the largest Jewish youth event in the world. More than 2,000 teens from across the globe joined more than 300 local teens at the games. Along with the teens there were 800 host families, 1,500 volunteers and 15,000+ spectators.
Participating from Winnipeg were: Sydney Hnatuk - 16U Swimming, Jaelen Hartog -16U girls basketball (mixed team with Memphis & Houston), Brianna Ritter - 16U girls tennis, Lina Fridlender - 16U girls volleyball (mixed team with Minneapolis, Albany/Schenectady, Austin) Maya Polevoi - 16 U girls dance, and Ruth Seyoum, Star Reporter.
The final results had Sydney Hnatuk bringing home four Gold, three Silver and three Bronze in swimming. Brianna Ritter winning Gold in girls’ doubles tennis, and Lina Fridlender taking home a Silver medal in volleyball.
Also, Ellina Domnidou (our personal trainer) coached the 16U girls volleyball team that won silver.
