Barry McArton

Laurel Malkin, president of the Jewish Federation of Winnipeg, is pleased to announce the appointment of Barry McArton as 2019-20 Combined Jewish Appeal Campaign Chair and Chair of Financial Development.

 

 

 


Barry McArton is currently retired from his extensive career in the non-profit sector. Barry is the former Executive Director of Cancer Care Manitoba Foundation, past President and CEO of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and past Executive Director of the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. He has been strongly involved at a volunteer level in the community as past President of the Winnipeg Philharmonic Choir, past Chair of the Pediatric Cancer Inside Ride, the Winnipeg Harvest Empty Bowls Gala and the Bear’s on Broadway Campaign, to name a few. He is the past President and current Governor of the Asper Jewish Community Campus. Barry and his wife Carol Blankstein are a part of a devoted philanthropic family, committed to the well-being of the Jewish and greater community of Winnipeg.
