Anti-Israel Group Organizes Mass June 8 Protest of Rafah Operation in Front of White House

A prominent anti-Israel activist group is organizing a mass demonstration in front of the White House on June 8 in a bid to further increase pressure on US President Joe Biden to turn against the Jewish state amid its war against Hamas in Gaza.

The Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM), an organization that openly supports violence and terrorism against Israel, says that the planned protest is in response to the Israeli army commencing military operations in the city of Rafah in southern Gaza. The group issued a statement on Instagram denouncing Biden for supposedly failing to enforce his “red line” against Israel by not cutting off arms shipments.

“A month ago, Biden said that the invasion of Rafah was a red line. But now, the invasion of Rafah has continued for weeks, has expanded to the entire Gaza Strip — Biden’s red line is nowhere to be seen,” the group wrote.

PYM accused Biden of facilitating the indiscriminate murder of Palestinian civilians through his support of Israel, which has been targeting Hamas in Gaza since the terrorist group launched the war with its Oct. 7 invasion of the Jewish state.

“Instead of following through and stopping military aid to Israel, Biden has authorized billions more in weapons shipments to be used to kill and massacre Palestinians,” the group added.

The anti-Israel organization says it wants to pressure the Biden administration into securing an “immediate ceasefire, an immediate end to the siege on Gaza, the freedom of all Palestinian prisoners, and an end to the occupation of Palestine.” PYM did not note that many of the aforementioned prisoners were jailed for terrorist activity, or make any mention of releasing the Israeli hostages kidnapped on Oct. 7 who are still being held captive in Gaza.

The groups says that it chose to hold the demonstration on June 8 to commemorate the “eight months of US-Israeli genocide of the Palestinian people.” The chosen date notably cuts off Oct. 7, when Hamas terrorists massacred over 1,200 people throughout southern Israel and kidnapped more than 250 hostages.. The chosen date suggests that Israel began its alleged “genocide” against Palestinians prior to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) beginning their incursion into Gaza in late October.

The Palestinian Youth Movement has repeatedly supported violence against Israel and has ties to terrorist groups. The organization handed out candy and held public demonstrations on Oct. 7 to celebrate Hamas’ indiscriminate murder of Israeli civilians. On Instagram, the group referred to Hamas as a “Palestinian resistance” group and referred to the Oct. 7 massacre as “decolonization.” The group recently helped organize the People’s Conference for Palestine this month, an event which featured speakers from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a terrorist organization.

“On Oct. 7, Gaza broke free. Palestinians in Gaza crossed the illegitimate border fence and reentered 1948 lands for the first time in many of our lifetime,” PYM wrote on Oct. 9.

“”This is a historic, unprecedented moment for the Palestinian people. For the first time since 1948, the Zionist state has lost control of its occupied territories,” the group added. “The Israeli intelligence’s failure to detect these plans in advance and the military’s inability to crush the resistance quickly is shattering the notion of the occupation’s invincibility.”

Lebanon Must Disarm Hezbollah to Have a Shot at Better Days, Says US Envoy

i24 News – Lebanon’s daunting social, economic and political issues would not get resolved unless the state persists in the efforts to disarm Hezbollah, the Iranian proxy behind so much of the unrest and destruction, special US envoy Tom Barrack told The National.

“You have Israel on one side, you have Iran on the other, and now you have Syria manifesting itself so quickly that if Lebanon doesn’t move, it’s going to be Bilad Al Sham again,” he said, using the historical Arabic name for the region sometimes known as “larger Syria.”

The official stressed the need to follow through on promises to disarm the Iranian proxy, which suffered severe blows from Israel in the past year, including the elimination of its entire leadership, and is considered a weakened though still dangerous jihadist outfit.

“There are issues that we have to arm wrestle with each other over to come to a final conclusion. Remember, we have an agreement, it was a great agreement. The problem is, nobody followed it,” he told The National.

Barrack spoke on the heels of a trip to Beirut, where he proposed a diplomatic plan for the region involving the full disarmament of Hezbollah by the Lebanese state.

i24 News – Russian President Vladimir Putin has told Iranian leadership that he supports the idea of a nuclear deal in which Iran is unable to enrich uranium, the Axios website reported on Saturday. The Russian strongman also relayed the message to his American counterpart, President Donald Trump, the report said.

Iranian news agency Tasnim issued a denial, citing an “informed source” as saying Putin had not sent any message to Iran in this regard.

Also on Saturday, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that “Any negotiated solution must respect Iran’s right to enrichment. No agreement without recognizing our right to enrichment. If negotiations occur, the only topic will be the nuclear program. No other issues, especially defense or military matters, will be on the agenda.”

i24 News – Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa is attending at least one meeting with Israeli officials in Azerbaijan today, despite sources in Damascus claiming he wasn’t attending, a Syrian source close to President Al-Sharaa tells i24NEWS.

The Syrian source stated that this is a series of two or three meetings between the sides, with Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani also in attendance, along with Ahmed Al-Dalati, the Syrian government’s liaison for security meetings with Israel.

The high-level Israeli delegation includes a special envoy of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, as well as security and military figures.

The purpose of the meetings is to discuss further details of the security agreement to be signed between Israel and Syria, the Iranian threat in Syria and Lebanon, Hezbollah’s weapons, the weapons of Palestinian militias, the Palestinians camps in Lebanon, and the future of Palestinian refugees from Gaza in the region.

The possibility of opening an Israeli coordination office in Damascus, without diplomatic status, might also be discussed.

The source stated that the decision to hold the meetings in Azerbaijan, made by Israel and the US, is intended to send a message to Iran.
