ANNETTE NOZICK GOLDENBERG
June 20, 1920 – November 11, 2022

Annette passed away peacefully on November 11 at the age of 102 at the Saul and Claribel Simkin Centre.
Before starting a family mom went to the University of Manitoba where she obtained a degree in Interior Arts, later working for Arnold Rice and furnishing homes for Qualico Construction.
Mom was a “high maintenance” woman – going to the beauty salon weekly. And dad gifted mom with a blue Pontiac convertible.
As an only child she had little family but a multitude of friends and cousins who have predeceased her. To name a few: Merle and Manny Axelrod, Peggy Guberman, Anne Nozick and Sylvia Bricker.
I held mom’s hand as she slipped away at the Simkin Centre. I know she knew I was with her.
At 102 she lived a long life.
Mom was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Sara Nozick, her beloved husband, Alex, and her son, David. No parent should ever have to bury a child.
She is survived by daughter Bonnie Paul Goldenberg, former son-in-law Cary Paul, and two grandsons, Alan and Jamey.
Mom was a champion bridge player. She once played opposite Egyptian actor Omar Sharif in a tournament. She was an avid knitter, cook and philanthropist.
Mom, we have been to hell together but you and daddy have raised me with all the right rules. I will love you and miss you forever. Your “Pussycat.”
Burial and shiva were private.
Donations in Annette’s memory may be made to the Spiritual Care Department at the Saul and Claribel Simkin Centre, 1 Falconridge Drive, R3Y 1V9.
