In an email issued by CJA Campaign Chair Carrie Shenkarow on April 14 it was announced that the Jewish Federation of Winnipeg’s 2022 Combined Jewish Appeal campaign raised a record $6,301,761.
We emailed the Jewish Federation, asking how many contributions came from new contributors and how many contributors there were altogether.
Rebecca Brask, Chief Development Officer for the Federation, responded: “We are thrilled that our community came together in such a powerful way this year to support our agencies and the essential services they offer. To answer your questions, we had 1782 total donations this year and 85 new donors to the Campaign. We will be conducting a more fulsome Campaign analysis, but not in time for your next issue. I will be in touch as soon as we have more in-depth data to provide. Many thanks!”
We will publish more information about the CJA Campaign and the amounts that will be allocated to the various beneficiary agencies of the Jewish Federation in a future issue.
