She came to Canada from Poland as a baby. She grew up in the north end of Winnipeg and attended St. John’s Tech where she made many life long friends. At 19, she was swept off her feet by Louis and they were married for almost 70 years. They started their married life in Fort Frances, Ontario and enjoyed small town life and leisure. In 1959, they moved to Winnipeg to provide their children with a Jewish education and life. In Winnipeg, she was involved in many Jewish organizations and golfed at Glendale. For more than 30 years they wintered in Palm Springs. She was an excellent bridge player and enjoyed going to the casinos. Helen was proud of her husband and family and they were always upmost in her mind.
